Our clear envelopes are made from biofilm, compostable plastic.

Biofilm (PLA - Poly-Lactic-Acid) is created from corn, potato or other starch/sugar sources.

Please don't confuse biofilm with oxo-degradable plastics which do not degrade in landfill. Biofilm is FULLY BIODEGRADABLE & COMPOSTABLE. This process can happen in either commercial or home composting or landfill. The biodegrading process will take around 45 days & the film breaks down into CO2, H2O & ecotoxic free biomass (compost).

Please note: Biofilm is not suitable for disposal via plastic recycling bins as it is created from renewable plant materials, not petrochemicals!

Storage of biofilm envelopes

Avoid prolonged exposure to humidity, excessive heat, moisture & light to maximise shelf life. Please note, if an envelope is splashed with water they don't start to degrade immediately - if wiped off straight away, it should do no harm! 

Dimensions

Each envelope measures approx 10cm wide x 14cm high when the flap is closed. Each envelope has a 2.7cm flap. The flap has a peel & seal, self-adhesive strip.

FYI: The envelopes will easily hold around 100ml of our petal confetti ... that's around 1 litre of confetti for every 10 envelopes. Providing a handful of confetti per guest.  

If you are filling with the larger-sized petals, such as freeze-dried rose petals or hydrangea petals, you may want to allow a little more per portion. Due to the larger petal size (or the clusters with the hydrangea) you won't get many petals per 100ml portion - so for a fuller appearance, you may wish to work on around 150ml per envelope.

STANDARD DELIVERY
Royal Mail 2nd Class is free on UK orders over £60 - delivery is estimated 2-5 business days after posting.

EXPRESS DELIVERY
We offer two express delivery options. Please read the following details to make sure you select the correct service for your needs.

Both express services include express dispatch for eligible orders (excludes crafted/made-to-order items). If you place your order before 11am, Monday-Friday, your parcel will be dispatched the same business day.

The Express Service: Royal Mail Tracked 24 (estimated delivery 1-2 business days)
With this option, your parcel will be dispatched via the Royal Mail Tracked 24 service, which has a delivery aim of 1 business day. Please note, while next-day delivery is likely, Royal Mail do not guarantee next-day delivery with this service.

The Express Service: Special Delivery (guaranteed next-day delivery service)
With this option, your parcel will be dispatched via the Royal Mail Special Delivery service, which is guaranteed to be out for delivery the following business day after posting (Mon-Fri).

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
International packages are sent Tracked Airmail and come with tracking reference numbers. International delivery usually arrives in 5-10 business days after posting, but please allow up to 20 business days.
