Freeze Dried Rose Petals

With more & more wedding venues prohibiting the use of traditional tissue wedding confetti, dried petals have become an increasingly popular choice by brides. Dried petals are eco-friendly ... they're 100% natural & biodegradable making them a great alternative to traditional wedding confetti.

Our dried petals are an elegant confetti that makes the perfect accompaniment for your big day. With our freeze-dried rose petals, due to the size of petal, we particularly recommend them for decoration use, such as on tables at your reception venue or to create the pathway or aisle but can also be used as throwing confetti.

The Petal Story ...

Presenting our premium confetti range: freeze-dried rose petals. What makes our freeze-dried petals so special ...

The process of freeze-drying produces fantastic results with petals that don't shrink, they retain their shape, they don't discolour & feel soft to the touch. They almost appear like fresh petals ... but you don't have to worry about a last-minute delivery & they don't need to be refrigerated. Making them more convenient & less stressful!

The rose petals are purpose grown on a family farm in the US. The petals are handpicked to prevent damage to the petals. After the petals are harvested, the freeze-drying process begins. The petals go into freeze dryers & all the moisture is removed from the petals whilst they are frozen. The petals are kept frozen & under vacuum for 7-10 days followed by vacuum alone for an additional 7 days. There's a lot of skill, care & hard work goes into producing our premium rose petals.

They're better for the environment & are generally accepted by churches / venues. The rose petals are completely natural with no perfumes or dyes added.

Due to the size of petal, we particularly recommend our freeze-dried rose petals for decoration such as on tables at your reception venue or to create the pathway or aisle, but they will also work great as throwing confetti to shower over the happy couple.

Volume of Petals ...

The petals are measured in litres.

They're measured in a good old fashioned kitchen measuring jug ... loosely filled with petals to the 1 litre mark, the side of the jug is tapped repeatedly to allow for settling & then repeated as necessary (they are not pressed down as this will damage the petals) & gently tipped into the packaging ready for dispatch.

Why are they measured in litres rather than weight?
The petals are really light & the weight will vary depending on their size, so volume is a much more reliable measurement.

How much confetti will I need?

Table decoration:

1 litre of petals will create a light sprinkling over up to 5 tables seating around 8-10 guests depending on how generous you want to be.

Flower girl basket:

Approx 1-2 litres depending on the distance she'll be scattering petals over.

Aisle scattering:

For a light sprinkling each side of aisle allow around 1 litre per metre.

For a light sprinkling across whole width of aisle allow around 2 litres per metre.

Throwing confetti:

1 litre of petals will provide a handful of petals for 8-10 guests (or fill 8-10 of our confetti cones).

Storage of Petals ...

The petals will keep for up to 12 months or longer provided they are stored carefully. They must be kept in a cool, dry place out of direct light. Heat, humidity & moisture will encourage the petals to biodegrade & light will fade the petals.

Please note: they do not require refrigeration

Important...

None of our petals are for food use.

Did you know we offer a Pre-Order Service?
